Since purchasing my nice new coat (have I mentioned that?) :
Germany;
Wolf whistled five times (only once by a woman *ahem*)
Threatened with violence because of my appearance once (by a drunken local).
England;
Threatened with violence five times.
Wolf whistled twice (both male)
Hmm. Methinks I prefer the German attitude.
(and the opening times of the bars)

I do tend to go out at night when it's cooler, but even during the day it's cool when there's a bit of a breeze.

I very rarely use the word in the other sense.

I got punched, shouted at, hit with a bottle and run over on the pavement for having long hair and wearing a leather jacket.
Looking "different" from the herd always has repercussions.
The ignorant bastards just have to have their say.
That is partly why I didn't cut my hair until recently - it had to be my choice. Not a choice forced on me by twats.

Pro You should stick to your guns and be you! Sod everyone else and their crappy attitudes - although maybe self defence classes or carrying a large sword would help to quell violent outbursts x
I can understand the wolfwhistling bit.. But the violence part.. Whats that all about!! Maybe there jealous of your good looks.. Or their trying to rob your coat!!x

team Maybe the German local was just saying hello - German can sound uniquely aggressive when trying to not be.
Let's put it this way: He was scowling at me, his girlfriend (a strapping lass, I must say) pulled him away from me and his two other friends told me to get going quick!
I think that counts as being threatened with violence...
Apart from that, that Saturday was extremely enjoyable.

Bloody hell though. Never heard of anything like that happening in Berlin before.
I must have picked a hotel in the wrong area. I certainly won't be staying near there again.
Next time I'll stay more centrally. And there WILL be a next time!
